Do you want to meet Ajahn Brahm and volunteer at the same time? Do you wish to practice your kindness and do good deeds during the Vesak month? If your answer is yes, this is it!
We are looking for energetic volunteers who can assist us in celebrating Vesak day with BSV!
Event Details:
Date: Sunday, 26th May 2024
Time: 11am - 3.15pm (followed by a special Dhamma Talk for CITYZEN with Ajahn Brahm from 3.15pm)
Place: Buddhaloka Center Malvern - 71 Darling Rd, Malvern East VIC 3145
Help spread joy and kindness to the community while experiencing the wholesomeness of listening to Ajahn Brahm's talk all in the same day!
About Ajahn Brahm
Ajahn Brahm is the popular Buddhist teacher to a growing international audience of people keen to learn meditation and develop a deeper spiritual understanding. He is also the founding father of an emergent Australian forest tradition of Buddhist monasticism focused on being true to the original roots of the Buddha’s Teaching of Dhamma and Vinaya.
About Buddhist Society of Victoria (BSV)
Founded in 1953, the BSV is the oldest Buddhist institution in Victoria. The Society aims to make available the Buddha's teachings to the community, with special emphasis in the Theravada Tradition (The Way of the Elders) and to provide suitable facilities and support for monks and nuns.
About CITYZEN
CITYZEN is the Young Adults Group (18-35 years old) of The Buddhist Society of Victoria Inc., a non-for-profit organization. Established in 2016, CITYZEN provides young Buddhists a platform to develop mindfulness, wisdom and valuable friendships .
