Discover Design: VET Taster Workshop - Melbourne Campus

This workshop is for aspiring designers looking to explore and develop foundational design skills.
For high school students in Years 9–11 who are interested in enrolling in our Certificate III in Design Fundamentals.

This 3-hour workshop offers an introduction to the creative skills and techniques explored in our Certificate III in Design Fundamentals. Through a range of hands-on design activities, you will experiment with different creative processes and develop your ability to communicate and present original ideas.

The workshop focuses on the following areas of skill development:

• Introduction to Design Illustration

• Collage and presentation of creative ideas

• Creative texture and textile development

By the end of the workshop, you will have explored a range of foundational design techniques and created work to support your future creative studies. You will also receive a certificate of completion.

Resources will be provided; however, please bring the following items to participate:

HB lead pencil, eraser, sharpener, glue stick, scissors, ruler, coloured pencils or markers, and a black fine liner.
