Event description

Learn how your service skills can transfer to a career in the public sector

The Victorian Government recognises the considerable contributions veterans make to our state and is committed to supporting them to find meaningful and secure employment.

Veterans possess a wealth of transferable skills, knowledge, and experience gained through their service, that align with roles across the public sector.

Register to attend the 2024 Veterans Employment Workshop and uncover the full potential of your talents to help pave the way for a fulfilling transition into the civilian workforce.

This workshop will showcase the opportunities open to veterans through a career in the public service. Hear from a number of speakers, including:

  • Minister for Veterans, the Hon Natalie Suleyman MP
  • Victoria’s Veteran Employment Advocate, retired Major General McLachlan AO, AO (Mil)
  • Members of the Victorian Veteran Employee Network

Engage with our panel of HR representatives and network with veterans and employers in the Victorian Public Service.

The workshop will conclude with a networking opportunity from 4-5pm. It is optional to attend, please indicate if you will be joining us when you register for the workshop.

Registration is required. Please RSVP by Monday 29 July 2024.
