Are you looking for meaningful employment with a company that values the experience and skills you’ve gained through service or supporting an ADF member?

Join Veterans SA for the first Career Connections event of the year and meet with members of the SA Veteran Employer Network – a group of local companies committed to improving employment opportunities for the veteran community.

Date: Wednesday 9 April
Location: Adelaide Convention Centre, Foyer AB

This free event is open to former and currently transitioning ADF members, reservists, Defence partners and adult children of veterans.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from employers across the private and public sectors that recognise the value veterans and Defence partners bring to the workplace.

There are currently 39 member companies in the SA Veteran Employer Network, representing employers across consulting and service businesses, banking, defence industry, emergency services and local government.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to connect with employers committed to strengthening veteran employment within their own organisations, and across the wider business sector.

Note, the cost of parking for this event will be covered for all registered attendees who park in the Adelaide Convention Centre Carpark. Please present your parking ticket at check-in to be validated.

In 2008, the South Australian Government was the first state jurisdiction to recognise the importance of a state-based Veterans’ Affairs portfolio and as a result Veterans SA was established.

We envisage a strong, vibrant, well-supported and represented veteran community, inclusive of all generations that is understood and acknowledged by all South Australians.

As the lead advocate across the South Australian Government on matters relating to veterans and their families, Veterans SA works with ex-service organisations and civic groups that provide support to members of the community when and where it is needed most.

The agency also plays a role in sharing information about services, programs and opportunities across South Australia that are available to those who have served in the Australian Defence Force and their families.

Veterans SA works with the veteran community to ensure commemoration activities are supported and that occasions of military and historical significance are remembered and preserved for all South Australians.

Veterans SA supports the Veterans’ Advisory Council, which provides independent advice to the Minister, on matters of concern to the ex-service community in South Australia.
