Veterans are getting back to nature, jumping at the chance to take part in Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary’s dedicated Veteran’s Wildlife Studies program.

Term 1 dates are now advertised, which sees you go behind the scenes at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary each Tuesday morning to experience. There will be key focuses each week such as:

The Importance of Zoos
Animal husbandry
Enrichment and Exhibit design
Wildlife Hospital / rehab facilities
Visit our Food Preparation area where we store all food and supplements for all park
Volunteering & education courses and careers at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

Details of each Tuesday morning:

Tuesday morning, 9:30am - 11:30am.
Meet 9:15am @ Cafe Entrance of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.
Transport: We take a community bus to the sanctuary each week, if you would like a lift to the sanctuary please meet by 9am at the Veteran Support Centre - 164 Duringan St Currumbin. Alternate option is to take your own transport to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
Parking: On street parking is available free of charge. To park at the Sanctuary carpark there is a $10 parking fee.
Bookings strictly limited so register asap.
Must be either a Current or Ex Serving Defence member to attend.
