Main Act - Burning Bridges

The Burning Bridges are an old-school string band with a constantly evolving repertoire that reaches back to the bedrock of American country music, including old time, bluegrass, alt-country, and an expanding catalogue of original yet classic-sounding songs and tunes. The band appears regularly at national festivals and venues across Melbourne and statewide and has released three albums to date, the most recent, Whipporwill, in August 2023. Members include Peter Somerville (banjo/ vocals), Fran Martin (guitar/ vocals), and rising fiddle maestro Tom Somerville (fiddle/ guitar). Newest member Jim Taylor features on bull fiddle and vocals.
