Wheelchair and Mobility Access

The Union Theatre is located on Level 2 of the Arts and Cultural Building. This level is accessible via elevator, escalator and stairs from Monash Road or the base of the Amphitheatre.

Public Transport

Catch any Swanston St tram to Stop 1 – Melbourne University tram stop to enter the campus via Monash Road (Gate 4) or the Amphitheatre (Gate 6).

Parking

The Eastern Precinct Car Park at 375 Cardigan Street, Carlton, near the corner of Elgin Street is an approximate 5-minute walk from the venue, with access across Swanston St via the Elgin St footbridge.

Accessible Parking and Drop Off

Guests can be dropped off and picked up by taxi, ride-share or personal vehicle at the circular Gate 4 entrance at top of Monash Rd off Swanston St within a 30m distance to main door of building. There are limited accessible drop off parking spaces available at the Gate 4 entrance for a 15-minute time period. Longer-term accessible parking is available across Swanston St on Faraday St and within the Ace Parking carpark also on Faraday St.

Bicycles

There are a number of bicycle lock up racks directly opposite the Arts & Cultural Building entrance on Monash Road.
