Textile Art with Melanie Toscan

Available to those 16 years and over.
Delve into your preferred discipline or many with the Griffith Regional Art Gallery Open Program sessions. We are excited to be providing the community with a varied collection of program sessions that will focus on a core art discipline and leave you to explore the medium further on your own.
Textile Art with Melanie Toscan
Melanie Toscan is the programs officer at the Griffith Regional Art Gallery and has a degree in visual arts (majoring in textile art) and graphic design from the University of Wollongong. Over the two weeks Melanie will take you through the basics of felting, then progressing with the pieces to create an embroidered artwork. This session will give you an introduction into the fundamentals of felting, applique and embroidery.
