As an employer, what strategies do you or your organisation take to ensure that you employ a diverse workforce? As an employee, do you know which skills are most in demand in the profession? 

Come along to the upcoming panel discussion surrounding the findings of the 2024 CIPS Procurement & Supply Salary Guide, in partnership with Hays. Our speakers will deep drive into the guide, discussing key findings on the procurement and supply salary market for both employers and employees. 

There will also be time to ask questions to the panel, network with peers and discuss your thoughts.

Speakers:

Kevin Foster - General Manager Procurement & Property, The Lottery Corporation

Kevin is the General Manager Procurement & Property at The Lottery Corporation. Kevin has held senior roles in both Supply Chain and Procurement in a number of large organisations within Australia, New Zealand and Asia. These include BlueScope Steel, Fletchers, IXOM, AusNet Services and The Pact Group.

In the last 12 years Kevin has been focussed on large scale transformation. These transformations have been achieved by developing a values based leadership model, strong team and stakeholder engagement and the implementation of key deliverables.

Kevin has a passion for leadership and supporting and mentoring the next generation of Procurement and Supply Chain professionals.


Sylvia Luchian - Director and Consulting Specialist, D1 Consulting

Sylvia established D1 Advisory in October 2020 in the middle of Melbourne’s first COVID-19 lockdown. With an emphasis on consulting contracting through strategic partnerships, Sylvia has focused D1’s core services around clients’ needs to fulfil project procurement coupled with value-enhancements through policy design, transformation-support, internal capability uplift, technology-product development, and process efficiencies. Sylvia’s passion and focus has vested with state-government agencies, and government-based enterprises with a cumulative pipeline of $1BAUD+ over the last four years.

Karl Gill - Head of Procurement & Contract Management (CPO), Melbourne Water

Karl Gill is a seasoned procurement professional with a diverse background. His career began as a senior officer in the Royal New Zealand Navy, where he honed his skills in supply chain, logistics, HR, and finance through global operations and humanitarian missions. Transitioning to the corporate world, Karl held senior procurement roles at Skycity Entertainment Group, Fletcher Building, and Stonewood Group. In 2022, he relocated to Australia and joined Melbourne Water as Head of Procurement & Contract Management, leading a major transformation to enhance essential services for over 5.5 million residents. Karl is currently exploring new opportunities. Karl’s wealth of experience makes him a standout leader in procurement.
