(VIC) CEW Melbourne Lunch
Event description
CEW invites our members to please join us for lunch on Friday November 29th, hosted by Aware Super, to hear a panel discussion on Menopause and the impact on women’s health, careers and the economy. Over lunch we will discuss two important issues;
- What do you need to know to build your knowledge and to manage your health ?
- What can you be doing in your organisation to support women through their careers?
The 2023 National Women's Health Survey, commissioned by the Federal Government and conducted by Jean Hailes, showed that 17% of Australian women in midlife (45-64 years) report missing days of work in the last five years due to menopause symptoms. Despite the impact of menopause on the individual and the workplace, the Survey findings suggest that very few Australian women will be comfortable taking menopause leave. The long-term forecast for change is positive, but informed policy change and improved knowledge are critical.
