VIC100|25 Go For Broke Volunteer Expression of Interest
Event description
The VIC100|25 Go for Broke is an exciting charity cycling event supporting mental health initiatives, including suicide prevention efforts by Lifeline Central West, Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury, Lifeline Macarthur and Western Sydney. By volunteering, you’re helping raise vital funds to work towards a suicide-free Australia.
Go for Broke was inspired by personal experiences with depression among family and friends. We believe that, like any illness, depression and anxiety can be treated and managed. This event was created not only to raise awareness and support for mental health but also to bring people together through cycling. Cycling with friends and building community is at the heart of what we do, and we encourage everyone—young and old, guys and girls, from all walks of life—to get on a bike, make connections, and help us beat depression.
The VIC100|25 Go for Broke is more than a cycling event—it’s a movement inspired by personal experiences with depression among family and friends. We believe that, like any illness, depression and anxiety can be managed and overcome. This event was started not only to raise funds and awareness for mental health and Lifeline but also to bring people together through cycling. At Go for Broke, cycling with friends and building community is at the heart of what we do. We encourage everyone—regardless of age, gender, or background—to get on a bike, enjoy the journey, and take on the challenge to help beat depression.
