Event description

Meet-up for all volunteers working on urban greening across Victoria. Guest speakers, panel discussions, informal chats and hands-on activities are designed to encourage, educate and inspire us.

If you are:

- in a Friends group, improving a public location

- growing and promoting indigenous and native plants

- volunteering for local weeding or planting bees

- gardening with indigenous plants at home

- working in horticulture, urban planning, ecology, etc., or

- just interested

Join us for an informative, productive and fun event. Extend your expertise and influence. Open to all volunteers and people working with volunteers.

Want to present? Join a panel? Run an activity? Email us so we can accommodate you.

Draft program (subject to change). Speakers include:

- Friends of Moonee Ponds Creek

- Friends of Royal Park

- Gardens for Wildlife

- Yalukit Willam Nature Association

Panellists included representatives from groups including Upfield Planters, MTB Melbourne Rewilded, Rain Moth Community Nursery, Merri-bek Council, Grassy Plains Network, Draw Plants Together, and Brunswick Communities for Nature.

We invite all groups to join the Expo - bring a poster, display, promotional materials (can be for sale) or other items to showcase your work.

The registration fee covers the venue hire. Self-catering options are available.

We acknowledge Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognise the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, and to Elders past and present. We meet in Bulleke-bek, a sparsely wooded forest with native grasslands that was governed by the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people.
