Victorian Refugee Education and Empowerment Network (REEN) Term 4 Meeting
Description
We are excited to invite you to our Term 4 meeting of the Victorian Refugee Education and Empowerment Network (REEN). This will be an in-person meeting, celebrating our first year as a network, hearing more from the wisdom of young people within our communities, and co-creating our action plan for 2027. Places will be limited, so we encourage you to register early.
River Nile School, Foundation House and Refugee Education Australia partner in facilitating this cross-sector network dedicated to education and empowerment for young people from refugee backgrounds in Victoria, Australia. This network is open to school-based professionals, community organisations, government departments, health services, businesses, and more—anyone passionate about sharing expertise, ideas, and initiatives while working together to create opportunities and lasting change. We meet quarterly - once in each Victorian school term.
Our Term 4, 2026 meeting will be held in-person at River Nile School on Thursday 22nd October from 4pm till 6m.
In this network meeting, together we will:
Celebrate the journey and successes of the Victorian REEN over our first year, including how we have inspired the development of similar networks across Australia.
Learn from the voices of young people about their educational experiences, and what changes they would like to see our network prioritise for advocacy.
Connect with other network members and begin to develop working groups about areas of interest.
Share practical resources, strategies and partnerships that we are using across our areas of work.
Co-create REEN's action plan for next steps in 2027.
