BWB Talk: Vincent O'Malley and Bruce Stirling at Unity Books Wellington

Please join us at Unity Books Wellington for a lunchtime event with authors Vincent O'Malley and Bruce Stirling to celebrate the publication of The Treaty of Waitangi Companion.

Weaving together voices, documents and images from centuries of cooperation, conflict and change, The Treaty of Waitangi Companion ranges from first contact between Māori and Europeans to today’s debates over the place of te Tiriti o Waitangi in our constitutional arrangements. Rather than offering a single narrative, Vincent O’Malley and Bruce Stirling bring readers close to the historical record itself. They draw on the words of key figures to trace the story from te Tiriti’s signing in 1840 to the debates that continue to shape Aotearoa today.

There will be a discussion with the authors, followed by a book signing.

Date; Tuesday 17 November

Time: 12pm

Venue: Unity Books, 57 Willis St, Wellington Central

Free event, all welcome. No RSVP is required, but if you're planning to come, please click RSVP to register your interest.
