Live the Life You Please – VIP Seniors Movie Event

Clarence City Council and Palliative Care Tasmania would like to invite you to a special VIP community event to celebrate senior's week.

Imagine if we treated end of life the way we treated start of our life. What if we planned for death like we plan for other important life events? What if we knew how to respond to death and loss when it happens in our family, workplace and community and what if we knew how to access end of life and palliative care when we needed it? what if we lived every day like it was out last?

Together we can explore these questions by watching a special screening of 'Live the life you please'. This film will change the way you think about the last chapter of life. Watch the trailer below.

Palliative Care Tasmania and Clarence City Council are delighted to invite you for this free event (including delicious food and popcorn).

There will be an opportunity to ask questions about palliative care, the services in Tasmania and how you can plan and document your wishes.

Please arrive at 10am to get seated as we will be commencing the screening at 10.30am to ensure we have enough time for yummy treats and good discussions.

Live the life you please is an impact film campaign that will change the way you think about palliative care. Told by medical professionals, patients and their families, it is an intimate portrait of the end-of-life experience and makes profound observations about life, death and what happens in between. Live the life you please boasts a treasure trove of incredible stories captured all around Australia, from cities and regional centres to remote communities. It will make you smile, laugh, laugh harder and occasionally shed a tear as it shares the stories of a diverse range of Australians experiencing their last chapter.

Their powerful stories will show you that palliative care is more than medicine. It’s about quality of life.

It’s about providing physical, social, emotional and spiritual support to patients and their loved ones. It’s about embracing every moment and living the life you please until the very end.
