So begins the rousing tale of a band of young newsboys who dare to take on the most powerful men in New York City. At the centre of the story is Jack Kelly - a charismatic dreamer with grit to spare - who rallies his fellow ‘Newsies’ when rising prices threaten their livelihoods. Alongside him stands a fearless young reporter determined to make her mark, a loyal brotherhood of underdogs and a city on the brink of change.

Inspired by the real‑life Newsboys’ Strike of 1899, Disney’s Newsies is a high‑energy, Tony Award‑winning musical packed with heart, humour and some of the most electrifying choreography ever to hit the stage. With a soaring score by Alan Menken (The Little Mermaid; Aladdin; Beauty and the Beast) and a sharp, spirited book by Harvey Fierstein (La Cage aux Folles; Kinky Boots), the show transforms a pivotal moment in history into a jubilant celebration of courage, camaraderie and the power of young people to change the world.
