Event description

Introduction to Emotion Coaching

Virtual MyTime

About this event

Emotion Coaching is a technique that supports parents in helping their children to understand their emotions, learn why they occur, and how to handle them better.

Joining MyTime is Melo. Melo has delivered parenting programs on secure attachment, emotion coaching, and family leadership for many years.  Melo will share an introduction to emotion coaching, an evidence-based parenting strategy, and how research suggests that emotional coaching supports the development of happy, resilient, and well-adjusted children.

Come and learn why so many parents include Emotion Coaching in their toolkit of knowledge to bring out the very best in their children.  There will be an opportunity to ask questions and share your experiences.

This event is facilitated by Bree

Bree is a mum of two children. Her second child Dax was born with Congenital Cytomegalovirus (CMV). She has lived around Australia before settling on the south coast of NSW with her family.
Bree and her partner Mitchell love the outdoors and will always find a way to include Dax in their adventures along with their daughter Dylan.

Who is this event for?

MyTime is for parents and caregivers raising a child with disability, developmental delay or autism.

During a MyTime session, there is a guided discussion and a space to connect with other families. These discussions offer an opportunity for parents and caregivers to share and learn from each other.
