8yrs+: When School Isn’t Working: Virtual Autism MyTime
Event description
If school isn’t working for your child, you’re not alone and it’s not because your child is the problem. It’s because the system wasn’t built with all brains in mind.
This session is a space to reflect on the When School is Hard: Autism Webinar and share what’s been on your mind. Together, we’ll make sense of what we heard, explore what might help, and remind ourselves that we’re not in this alone.
In this peer group we’ll explore
• What resonated from the webinar
• Creative ways families are advocating, adapting, and finding what works
• When to persist, when to pivot, and how to protect your energy
• Why connection, not perfection, is what really helps us move forward
This group is facilitated by Kristy
Kristy is a proud mum to Dash, who is Autistic and has ADHD, just like his mum. She’s passionate about connecting with other families and celebrating neurodivergent joy and all the strengths that come with thinking differently.
