    🪡 Join Olga and her team from Studio Thimbles to learn how to use visible mending to fix and revive your items! 🧵 This 2-part workshop series is designed to teach you some practical mending skills and encourage you to get creative and personalise your clothing 👕.

    Over the two workshops, you will be covering:

    • Fundamental skills for hand sewing such as setting up the needle, tying proper knots and how to start & finish your stitching
    • Various hand-stitching methods that are essential for mending
    • How to do embroidery stitching to add decorative elements to the mending process
    • Elements of Sashiko stitching, a traditional Japanese technique that is popular in the world of visible mending 

    ❗ Please note that this is a 2-part workshop, and you will need to attend both 2-hour workshops over the two weeks ❗

    📅 Date: Wednesday 4th September & Wednesday 11th September 

    🕙Time: 5pm - 7pm

    🏠 Address: Subiaco Library located at 237 Rokeby Rd, Subiaco

    🚗Parking: Street parking is available. Alternatively, the library is only a short walk from the Subiaco train station.

    💰 Cost: $5

    This event is suitable for 18+ years. 

    Member council tickets are available to residents from Claremont, Cottesloe, Mosman Park, Peppermint Grove & Subiaco. General admission tickets are available for Cambridge, Nedlands and residents from other councils.
