    🪡 Join Olga and her team from Studio Thimbles to learn how to use visible mending to fix and revive your items! 🧵 This workshop series is designed to teach you some practical mending skills and encourage you to get creative and personalise your clothing 👕.

    Over the two workshops, you will be covering:

    • Fundamental skills for hand sewing such as setting up the needle, tying proper knots and how to start & finish your stitching
    • Various hand-stitching methods that are essential for mending
    • How to do embroidery stitching to add decorative elements to the mending process
    • Elements of Sashiko stitching, a traditional Japanese technique that is popular in the world of visible mending 

    ❗Please note, this is a 2-part workshop series and attendees are expected to attend both workshops

    📅 Date: Tuesday 17th September & Tuesday 24th September 

    🕙Time: 1pm-3pm

    🏠 Address: Studio Thimbles located at 437 Hay St, Subiaco

    🚗Parking: Parking is available at Subi Carpark located on the corner of Rokeby Rd & Barker Rd. Alternatively, the studio is only a short walk from the Subiaco train station.

    This event is suitable for 18+ years. 

    Member council tickets are available to residents from Claremont, Cottesloe, Mosman Park, Peppermint Grove & Subiaco. General admission tickets are available for Cambridge, Nedlands and residents from other councils.
