Join Restore Rodney East for a unique behind-the-scenes visit to Matuku Link, one of New Zealand's leading community-led wetland restoration projects.

Spend the day exploring this inspiring restoration success story while learning directly from John Sumich, conservation visionary and founding trustee of Matuku Link, and Annalily van den Broeke, Conservation Manager and restoration leader.

Hear how a shared vision grew into one of Auckland's most significant restoration projects, discover the challenges and successes along the way, and gain practical insights that can be applied to conservation projects across our region.

• Guided tour of Matuku Link's wetlands, native bush and restoration areas

What to Bring ...

LUNCH: Please bring your own packed lunch and water bottle.

FOOTWARE: Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear suitable for the site — tramping boots or gumboots are recommended as the tracks may be muddy. Please bring a second pair of clean shoes to change into before boarding the bus – muddy boots will need to be kept in a bag and cannot be worn on the bus.

SHOPPING: Bring your credit card or cash if you’d like to browse the Matuku Link shop and purchase gifts.
