Rakaia Excursion
Event description
Join us on a visit to the lovely little township of Rakaia! This Mid Canterbury TimeBank social gathering is a bit special because fellow timebankers from neighbouring Selwyn TimeBank will be joining us. It will be great to meet them and find out what they get up to in their timebank!
We will meet at Salmon Tales Café at 10.30am. After some mingling and morning tea, Dorothy Knight (aka the backbone of Rakaia) will show us around the Village Green where food is grown and shared and we will visit another couple of community initiatives as well.
As always, our TimeBank events are open to anyone coming along, so they are a great opportunity to meet new people as well as connect with timebankers.Â
Hopefully a few Rakaia locals can come along and tell us what they like about living in Rakaia and tell us what we should see while there! When registering let us know if you need a ride (or can offer one) from Ashburton.
Please register so we can book tables and organise transport.Â
