This workshop is the first in a series of three about Creating a Journalling Practice. The series is an exploration of the importance of journalling and some of the popular visual types. The goal of the series is to present you with a range of options outside written journalling that might work for your own reflective practice.

As well as discussing techniques and giving you activities to explore the ideas, Kylie will provide you with some resources and additional references to help you discover more for yourself.

Kylie is a huge supporter of the idea of self-experimentation as a means of developing actions, practices and habits that work well for your unique situation and brain. That is this series explores and introduces some of the more popular journalling styles and provides you with references to support you in experimenting with them after the workshop.

In Workshop One: Visual Notetaking for Journalling, we will:

Discuss the benefits of journalling
Outline how adding simple drawings alongside brief written content works in journalling
Go through the basic elements of visual notetaking and apply the simple skills
Discuss examples and references to help you practice and learn more.

These workshops are designed to help you improve your self-awareness and mental health management. The are designed for people at all stages of life and with any artistic ability - it's not about art.
