Visual Takes: An evening with Getty Images

You know the story you want to tell. Getty will help you find the content to bring it to life.

Join the Getty Images team for an insider's look at their comprehensive suite of services designed for directors, producers, art departments, researchers, and creative professionals across the industry. Whether it’s scripted or factual, Getty helps producers find the right content (fast), access archival gems or fresh contemporary visuals, navigate licensing and clearance, negotiating and pricing, and much more.

This session will explore:

  • Frame by frame: from development to distribution, support for scripted and factual productions with Alyssa Orvis

  • A behind the scenes look at the role of a product specialist with Cathy Totten

  • Reel talk with Cass Avery, Sarah Bailey Harper and Alyssa Orvis

  • Lights, camera, quiz! Test your knowledge with an archival quiz

  • Post-panel networking and drinks

Our fabulous panelists are:

Sarah Bailey-Harper from Tenzing, The Luminaries and The Hobbit joins to bring perspective from the art, set design, costume and textile departments of scripted productions, sharing her experience and knowledge when using creative content in pre-production and production.

Cass Avery from Prime Minister will also be joining the panel, where we will delve into her recent project and discuss how partnering with Getty Images services across archive, video and stills was utilised across production stages.

Alyssa Orvis is a Sales Executive at Getty Images serving the TV, film, and broadcast industry. She previously spent eight years as a Documentary Investment Manager at Screen Australia, overseeing development and funding of documentaries and series. Her earlier career included roles at Sydney Film Festival, Abu Dhabi Film Festival, and during a decade in New York, she worked with Tribeca Film Festival, New York Film Festival, and Bicycle Film Festival.

Cathy Totten is a Product Specialist at Getty Images, connecting TV & Film producers with major networks including BBC, NBC, TVNZ and ITN.
