VìTÂM Artist Showcase and Fundraiser

Join us for an evening of Vietnamese food, talent, and community at VìTÂM’s first public debut to the world: an Artist Showcase and Fundraiser!

We are VìTÂM — a group of Vietnamese artists, scholars, activists, and professionals who are committed to creating space for the tough conversations we need to have, but largely aren’t having, in the Vietnamese community. We came together after noticing a lack of resources for knowledge, training, and dialogue in our communities that hindered our ability to support one another. This lack boiled into high tensions over the last few years, and we want to heal those tensions. We would be honored for you to join us! Come enjoy unique performances, learn a bit about our work, and mingle with community members. You’ll even experience the country music đàn bầu mashup you never knew you needed. We are excited to be hosting a silent auction with beautiful gifts from KAAREM (fashion), Abacus Row (Jewelry), Socola (artisanal chocolates), Little Saigon Official (streetwear), Embody skincare gummies, a host of luminary Vietnamese authors, a gift set from Red Boat Fish sauce, and more!

When: August 24th, 2024, 3PM - 8PM (social hour at 3pm, performances starting at 5PM)

Cost: $60 - $120 per person (sliding scale)

The upcoming few months, and year, will be crucial times for our community. Last summer, we organized an intergenerational dialogue that aired on SBTN. Earlier this month, we ran workshops about mis/disinformation at UNAVSA (the Union of North American Vietnamese Students Association). We hope to continue our work at full speed ahead. Proceeds from this showcase will go to expanding our programming and resources.
