Vegetables NZ Annual General Meeting & Pre-Election Debate
Want to hear what the various political parties will do to support vegetable growing in New Zealand, now and in the future?
The NZ Vegetable Council (NZVeg), Potatoes NZ and Pukekohe Vegetable Growers Association are bringing together politicians from across the political spectrum to debate the future of vegetable growing, less than a month out from the General Election on 7 November.
5:00pm — Vegetables NZ AGM commences (start time may vary slightly depending on the agenda)
5:45pm — Bar opens following the conclusion of the AGM. Pre-debate refreshments are kindly provided by NZVeg and Potatoes NZ.
6:00pm — Arrival of Members of Parliament. We are pleased to confirm the attendance of Todd McClay (National), Andrew Hoggard (ACT), Mark Patterson (NZ First) and Steve Abel (Greens). A representative from Labour is still to be confirmed.
6:15pm — Debate commences. The MC is Dame Alison Stewart, NZVeg Chair.
7:15pm — Debate concludes; further refreshments will be served.
Cash bar — Available until 8:00pm (please note the bar operates on a cash basis from the commencement of the debate).
