Join us as we launch dell’Arte Opera Ensemble’s 25th Anniversary celebration with Voice of Her Heart—a powerful opening concert featuring settings of Frauenliebe und -leben by Robert Schumann and Carl Loewe. The program also highlights works by Clara Schumann, Fanny Hensel, Alma Mahler, Martha Sullivan, Valerie Saalbach, and Ellen Mandel. Featuring distinguished alumni singers and composers, this evening marks the beginning of an inspiring festival honoring a quarter-century of artistry and innovation.
25th Anniversary Festival Description:
dell’Arte Opera Ensemble launches its 25th Anniversary Festival with Voice of Her Heart — a powerful opening concert featuring settings of Frauenliebe und -leben by Robert Schumann and Carl Loewe. Featuring distinguished alumni and composers, the program also shines a spotlight on works by Clara Schumann, Fanny Hensel, Alma Mahler, Martha Sullivan, Valerie Saalbach, and Ellen Mandel.
The celebration continues with a timely and resonant production of Mozart’s La clemenza di Tito, libretto by Pietro Metastasio and Caterino Mazzolà.
The festival also presents a captivating program drawn from Italienisches Liederbuch—Italian folk poetry translated into German by Paul Heyse and set to music by Hugo Wolf, Joseph Marx, Hermann Goetz, Arnold Mendelssohn, and Johannes Brahms.
