No songs, no sheet music, no right or wrong notes.

Facilitated by a professional vocal coach, you'll explore different ways to listen, to hear, to think, to intend, to tune in to your body, to the sensations & vibrations.

New ways to experience your voice, your awareness, your expression.

Not oriented around songs or technical instruction, these sessions involve exploration of different ways we can perceive & express with our voice, listening, explorative awareness exercises, and guided group vocal improvisation.

It's not about trying to be musical or clever or sound good or nice, but exploring the sounds & sensations in your voice and your body. It's about the experience of guided awareness and deeper & more present listening.

It leads to observations about how your thinking, feeling, and nervous system state interacts with your voice & body. We discover how a group listening to each other & themselves can create something in the centre which is greater than the sum of its parts.

VOICE / SPACE has been developed based on the 5 sessions facilitated by Bec Tilley for Hobart VoiceLab in 2024.

Bec Tilley is a professional vocal coach, having worked with over 600 individuals over the past 12+ years. She is on a mission to make singing inclusive to EVERYONE, because singing is a skill that anyone can learn.

Equipped with her training & study of anatomy-based vocal technique, coaching practices, and trauma-informed facilitation, Bec loves to show casual & beginner singers the power & versatility of their unique vocal instrument, and empower them with more confidence & understanding, to show that singing is not a mystery reserved only for the "naturally talented".

There is no wrong or right way to sing. You have a remarkable & versatile instrument, and Bec is here to help you unlock it with a playful approach, to bring more of the JOY of singing & music to your life!

Bec is the creator of online resources Secret Singing Lessons and The Living Voice Library, and works with clients in-person in nipaluna Hobart, and online all over the world. PRICING & TICKET OPTIONS

I've done my best to keep this event as financially accessible as possible. To this end:

We have 3 tiers of pricing (but no one is turned away for lack of funds).
We have 2 types of tickets you can purchase - single session, or the Season Pass of all 8 (at a discounted rate).
We have 2 payment options for the Season Pass - you can pay up front, or sign up for a payment plan of 8 payments. Both receive the same discount.

PRICING TIERS:

Unwaged / Concession:
For the unemployed or underemployed, and anyone needing concession discount (no card or proof required)

Single Session: $20
Season Pass: $15 per session

Waged:
The full price, for those in full time employment or financially comfortable.

Single Session: $27
Season Pass: $22 per session

Pay It Forward:
For those who would like to add a bit extra to their attendance fee, to assist in subsidising the unwaged tickets and ensuring this is a sustainable event for Bec. Thankyou so much for your generosity!

Single Session: $35+
Season Pass: $30 per session

NO ONE TURNED AWAY FOR LACK OF FUNDS - please contact info@bectilley.com if the unwaged price is still too much, and you require a special discount or sponsored place in the workshops. I want this to be an accessible space to all who would like to attend.

SEASON PASS PAYMENT OPTIONS:

You can book a season pass for all 8 sessions. This is really helpful for Bec for planning & feeling comfortable that the sessions will have enough people to go ahead! Thankyou!

Please note that no refunds, full or partial, will be offered on season pass purchases if you need to miss any sessions.

Your season pass can be purchased one of two ways:

Option 1: Up Front (lump sum for all 8 sessions) - book through this Humanitix event page

Option 2: Payment Plan - Email info@bectilley.com if you'd like to set up an 8 week payment plan. (This will involve giving your card number over the phone.)

Both options offer the same discount. The payment plan option is to make the season package accessible to those who don't have the lump sum for all 8 up front, but still want to commit to the 8 sessions.
