Sat, 21 Nov, 10am - 2pm AEDT

The essentials:

Have you thought about narrating audiobooks, or wanted to start putting yourself forward for VO auditions?

This hands-on, four-hour workshop with voiceover professional Kellie Jones is the place to start.

You’ll begin with vocal warm-ups and work on articulation, clarity and vocal energy, then move into mic technique: distance, angle, managing plosives and staying consistent.

Kellie will show you how to analyse a script and find its intention quickly, and you’ll explore different voiceover styles, from commercial and narration to conversational reads and audiobook narration.

You’ll also learn how professional sessions run, how to take direction and adjust your performance on the spot, and pick up industry tips, with plenty of time for your questions.

This is an experiential workshop, so expect to spend much of the day working with real scripts and microphones, putting each skill into practice as you go.

When: Sat 28th Nov, 10am - 2pm.

Parking: Free weekend parking is available on campus in the P1 visitor carpark (enter via Puckey Avenue off Squires Way)

Lunch: This is a catered event, so please email info@screenillawarra.com directly if you have dietary restrictions (medical or religious).
