🌱 About the Event
This event brings together our climate action ecosystem, families, and young people for an evening that connects local initiatives to the global climate movement, while spotlighting the vital role of youth voices in shaping the future.
Jean Oelwang will share the whole-planet approach of the Planetary Guardians and insights from the second Planetary Health Check launch at the September United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York. Damon Gameau will introduce the Future Council, a global movement amplifying youth leadership, and explore why the next generation’s voices are essential in tackling the climate crisis.
Embrace in a fireside chat led by Damon Gameau in conversation with Jean Oelwang and Ruby Rodgers — an inspiring young Australian and Future Council member featured in the Future Council film, followed by a musical performance from her.
If enough interest from the audience on the night, we will be screening the film in full.
This event is designed for our whole community. We especially welcome families and encourage attendees to bring along young people (12+) to share in the experience.
