Voices of Our Elders, Aboriginal Story Tellers Exhibition Guided Tour

Join us at the Museum for a special guided tour of Voices of Our Elders, Aboriginal Story Tellers in conjunction with National Reconciliation Week from 12:00 to 12:30pm.

Free and all welcome.

UQ Anthropology Museum presents a selection of photographic portraits, never seen before artworks and a newly commissioned documentary film in recognition of the Aboriginal people that have contributed to recording and maintaining history and culture of south east Queensland.

These artworks and objects reveal stories of individuals who saw a need to document what was around them through times of enormous change. The continuation of strength and pride in Aboriginal cultures is shared through family connections, stories of great heroism and deep cultural knowledge passed on through songs, ceremony and language. We should be proud of these story tellers, for they are Our Elders.
