Voice. Treaty. Truth. Advocacy Training Program | NCJWA, +61J & Emanuel Synagogue

Training:

Presented by Louise Togo, indigenous community leader.

The course will introduce you to the following:

• The history of the First Nations peoples’ struggle
• The Uluru Statement from the Heart
• Techniques to advocate on behalf of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders
• The skills required to build your confidence to handle objections
• Messaging and mapping in a targeted campaign.

Time & Date:

The course is run online via two 3 hour sessions over two days:

1. Wednesday, 3 February, 2021 (6pm - 9pm)
2. Sunday, 7 February, 2021 (5pm - 8pm)

Please note: these sessions are only for women. Additional courses will soon be announced.

Scholarships Available:

The cost of the course is $50. There are 5 NCJWA Scholarships are available for women who meet at least one of the following criteria:

1. If you are unwaged
2. If you are under the age of 35
3. If you live outside of metropolitan Melbourne or Sydney
