Coffee & Cool - Vol.10

After having to postpone our favourite way of gathering, Coffee & Cool Vol. 10 is back! ☕

Freshly brewed coffee. Good music. Ethiopian culture. A space to pause, connect & reflect.

Coffee & Cool returns for its 10th gathering - bringing together the warmth and ritual of Ethiopian coffee culture with African jazz, good food and good people.

Hosted by Ethiopian-Australian storyteller and community facilitator Lydia Tesema, Coffee & Cool is an invitation to slow down, be present and experience a little piece of Ethiopia in Melbourne.

At the heart of the gathering is jebena buna, the traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony. Watch as Ethiopian coffee beans are roasted, ground and brewed by hand, filling the space with the aroma of fresh coffee and incense.

Special Edition: Misir Wat & Injera 🍛

For Vol. 10, we’re adding something extra to the table.

We’re serving a special plate of Misir Wot & Injera - a rich and comforting Ethiopian lentil stew, slow-cooked with berbere spices, onion and garlic for a deep, warming flavour, served with injera, Ethiopia’s traditional soft, tangy fermented flatbread, which you use to scoop up the stew and enjoy every bite.

This is an optional food add-on and is available to purchase when booking your ticket. You can simply choose the ticket option that includes the meal if you’d like to enjoy it alongside your Coffee & Cool experience.
