Fence Working Bee

Event description

We’re looking for volunteers to help us build a fence to protect the livestock, soil and future of our working community farm. Using materials generously supplied through a Fencing for the Future grant, this fence is so much more than a boundary; it's a vital part of our regenerative agriculture and livestock management practices. By sectioning off our large paddock into smaller ones, we can move our livestock more frequently, which reduces soil compaction and improves pasture recovery.

Spend the afternoon with skilled Farm staff in the Stables Paddock learning practical fencing skills and making a long-term contribution to Collingwood Children’s Farm.

Book your free ticket to join one of two working bees:

  • 2:00–4:00 pm Tuesday 14 May
  • 2:00–4:00 pm Thursday 16 May

Join our farmers to make a tangible contribution to urban agriculture on our community farm!
