How to Find the Right Person for the Role

Did you know that the biggest reason that volunteers don’t return to volunteer with an organisation is because they don’t feel fully utilised?

Sometimes, as volunteer managers, we are so focussed on just getting as many helpers as possible, we don’t spend enough time thinking about what we want them to do or how they are going to do it.

In this interactive online workshop, we will look at how to maximise your volunteers’ potential and keep them coming back. By the end of the workshop, you will:

· Identify some key volunteer roles in your organisation: Practice writing clear role descriptions and task descriptions

· Have a process for selecting suitable volunteers: Matching them with roles that suit their skills and interests

· Understand the importance of screening, interviewing and selecting volunteers for roles - consistent with anti-discrimination law.
