Raise Awareness of Elder Abuse - Volunteer Information Day for Seniors

Join us for an information session on volunteer opportunities and learn about ways to get involved in raising awareness of elder abuse with the Older People's Rights Service team. Our peer volunteers provide education sessions to a range of groups in the community on topics such as ageism and the rights of older people. Hear about a statewide community craft project, called the Purple Road which stretches across Western Australia. Dozens of senior craft groups have joined the Purple Road to create 'roads' of hundreds of flowers to raise awareness of elder abuse in their local communities.
