This is a Project Helping Volunteer Experience in partnership with Ekar Farm

What We Will Do:

Project Helping volunteers will help Ekar Farms with a work project on the farm, such as planting, irrigation, fertilizing, or weeding.

Minimum Age: 5+, children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian

Agenda:

9:00-9:10 - Welcome and Overview

9:10-11:50 - Garden Projects

11:50-12:00 - Wrap Up and Thank You

What to Bring:

A mask

Comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty

Closed-toe shoes are recommended

Water, sunscreen, and a hat are recommended

Work gloves are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own

Where to Park:

Location: Ekar Farms

There is a parking lot adjacent to the farm gate, with the driveway off of Oneida St

There is also parking in the DAT (Denver Academy of Torah) school parking lot, but it is a bit of a walk

Where to Meet:

The farm is just north of the school parking lot. We will meet inside of the farm gate.

Check-in with your Project Helping Kynd Leader when you arrive. They will be wearing a bright lime green shirt, and will stick with you during the entire experience to make sure you have a blast!

Ekar Farm is an urban farm dedicated to educating the community about sustainable agriculture practices and food justice, and donating fresh, healthy, organic produce to local food banks.
