Event description

Volunteering Tasmania State Conference 2022 - Volunteering | The Great Reset

Held in celebration of International Volunteer Managers Day, the Volunteering Tasmania State Conference 2022 will focus on the theme, Volunteering | The Great Reset.

Recent times have raised Volunteer Managers, Coordinators, and Volunteers’ awareness of the need for a “Volunteering Reset”, encompassing the need to think about doing things differently. At this year’s conference, Volunteering Tasmania invites delegates to be part of and participate in the necessary conversation surrounding the Great Reset of Volunteering in our State.

The State Conference 2022 will offer a combination of professional development for leaders of volunteers in Tasmania, while facilitating connection and networking opportunities to share experiences and knowledge across the volunteering sector.

Explore and unpack key issues and topics with like-minded people and together we can shape the future of volunteering both in our organisations and in our state.

Inspiring keynote speakers, presentations, panel discussions, workshops and sharing of ideas are just the start!

Keynote Speaker

  • Hugh Mackay AO is a social psychologist and researcher, and the bestselling author of 22 books, including eight novels. His latest book, The Kindness Revolution, was published in 2021.

Plenary Speakers include:

  • Mark Pearce, CEO, Volunteering Australia
  • Polly McGee, PhD in Philosophy, University of Tasmania
