Volunteers info session Brisbane Tool Library
Event description
We are looking for more people to join our fantastic team of volunteers who are making a better, more sustainable world, right now!
The BTL team are a diverse bunch who share a passion for a more sustainable world. Some of us know a lot about tools and some of us know nothing at all. Some of us are experienced do-it-yourselfers and love repairing and some of us just wish we could. Some of us are handy with the computer, others not so much. We have volunteer roles for people with lots of skills, or want to learn new skills, or are just looking for something fairly easy to do in line with their values.
Volunteers are involved in serving customers, operating our custom tool library software, checking over and maintaining tools, managing shifts, maintaining our website, organising workshops, events and much more.
There is a great sense of camaraderie and a real sense of satisfaction because you are part of the solution.
Want to know more? Not quite ready to commit? Come along to our inquiry days. Register by getting a free ticket and come and meet us!
Saturday 10 April between 10.30 am and 1.30 pm (at the Brisbane Tool Library)
Friday 16 April between 2.30 pm and 5 pm (at the Brisbane Tool Library).
Sabrina Chakori, founder of the Tool Library, will be there to give you a tour of the Library (if you haven’t been there before), answer any of your questions, and work out what volunteer roles might best suit you.
If you really can't make it on these days, but you're still interested in volunteering, email us! staff@brisbanetoollibrary.org
We can’t wait to see you!
