OCEAN LOVERS TALKS - The 101 on the 30 by 30
 Why do we need marine protection, where are we with the 30 by 30 target, and where should our efforts be focused? These are all questions being answered by founder of Marinas Guardian, fighting for the interests of the ocean.
Jason Peers is the founding CEO of Marinas Guardian, a newly formed NGO that is seeking to make a substantive impact in the protection of theOcean. Through a science based focus on a commitment to help countries to meet their 30 by 2030 MPA obligations, Marinas Guardian is building on 4 pillars, science and research projects, consulting, development of cost effective technology solutions in measurement and surveillance of the Ocean, and education. Marinas Guardian has partnered with the Ocean Lovers Festival team to deliver the beach festival and Blue Solutions Summit in Dubai during COP 29 in December2023.Prior to founding Marinas Guardian, Jason enjoyed a very successful banking career, operating globally at senior level, with several leading banks. In 2001 he founded Jasper Capital Group which continues to provide high quality advice to Governments and companies internationally. Jason is a graduate of the University ofLondon, is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI) and sits on the Middle East regional boards of both the CISI and IPFA, theInternational Project Finance Association.
