Marine Sand Sculpture Competition  
A fun and free community event
Join us to build the sea creatures we want protected in our 
‘Marine Sanctuary’.

9.00 - 11.30 am, Sunday 19 March 2023, Bondi Beach
Meet on the beach, in front of the Bondi Pavilion. 
Bring buckets, spades, hats, water bottles. Slip! Slop! Slap!

 Prizes to be won for your sand creations!  You’re invited! Open to all families, adults and supervised kids.
11am Prize Giving with legendary shark advocate Valerie Taylor.
Our event coincides with the inaugural Grey Nurse Shark Census, an initiative of Captain Gordon Scott, supported by Valerie Taylor, the diving industry, Blue World and Volvo Ocean Lovers Festival. Hear why the harmless Grey Nurse Shark is critically endangered and needs sanctuary. 

Midday Head to the High Tide Room, Bondi Pavilion and learn more about these much-maligned but essential ocean residents and the work being done to protect them.
