VUPA x VU Library: Publication Workshop
Description
The Victoria University Postgraduate Association (VUPA), in partnership with VU Library, invites you to a hands-on Publication Workshop designed for postgraduate students. This session provides dedicated support and practical guidance for those ready to navigate the academic publishing landscape.
This workshop bridges the gap between completing your research and sharing it with the world. Led by Dr. Paula Muraca (VU Research Officer and Co-Managing Editor of the Journal of Intercultural Studies), this focused, practical session will guide you through choosing the right journals, managing the peer review process, and preparing your work for publication from an editor's perspective.
✨ Event Highlights:
Choosing a Journal: Learn what to look for in a journal and how to pair that with a strategic publishing plan.
Peer Review & Revision: Gain valuable tips on the submission process, responding to reviewer feedback, and refining your work.
Hands-on Abstract Workshop: Refine your own abstract and identify suitable journals with personalized support from the VU Library team (please bring a printed or digital draft).
Catering Provided: Lunch will be provided to facilitate informal networking and peer connection.
