Description

WA AgTech Meetup: Accelerating WA's AgriFood Tech Future

Join us both in-person and online for our next Meetup at the Food Innovation Precinct WA (FIPWA), a state-of-the-art facility fostering industry innovation to drive business growth, develop new products and exports, and transform Western Australia's food and beverage manufacturing facility. For this meetup, we will kick off with a site tour of the Precinct, including its three buildings: the Innovation Centre, The Research and Development Centre, and the Food and Beverage Production Centre; followed by an insightful panel discussion from the supply, demand and ecosystem partners of agrifood tech such as:

  • Christian Prokscha of Eden Towers, a dynamic and innovative future food company that is shaking up the fresh produce industry with its cutting-edge vertical farming technology and downstream processing
  • Mason Bagios of Kommunity Brew, recently featured on Chanel Nine's Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars 2024. Mason founded the West Australian based brewery, manufacturing the freshest, highest quality, authentic kombucha and water-kefir in Australia.
  • Sean Webb, of CBH Group, Australia's largest co-operative and a leader of the Australian grain industry, with operations extending along the value chain from fertiliser to grain storage, handling, transport, marketing and processing. Sean is the Principal of Innovation and Partnerships at CBH.
  • Natasha Teakle from AgriStart, an enabler for businesses to innovate and grow faster, specialising in agrifood and agtech innovation programs, and provides expert advice and industry connections that fuel growth.
  • And more!

Stay a little longer and enjoy a causal networking session with the panelists, AgriStart's 2024 Harvest cohort and other Meetup attendees, with light refreshments provided by Groundswell.

For those unable to join us in-person, tune in online to make sure you don't miss all the action (livestream details will be shared after registration).
