WA Agtech Meetup: The Opportunity in Asia
Join us both in-person and online for our next meetup at Riff. For this particular meetup, we channel our focus into The Opportunity in Asia.
Kicking off with a presentation from Amelia Walsh, Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner, Bangkok (previously Singapore) of Austrade to learn more about the agtech landscape in Asia, how to engage with international markets and how Austrade can help. We'll also hear from home-grown Orijin Plus about their experiences expanding into Asia (TBC). A panel discussion with industry experts will follow, covering topics such as market potential, technology adoption, investment climate, key learnings, and future trends:
- Amelia Ninditawaty, Consul for Economic Affairs at the Consulate General of Indonesia in Perth
- Anton Wibowo, CEO of Trendlines Agrifood Innovation Centre in Singapore (dialing in remotely). Trendlines Group, is a leading Israel and Singapore-based investment group that invests in innovations in agrifood and medtech, leveraging their experience, partnerships network and resources to go from seed to market.
- Christian Prokscha of Eden Towers in Perth. A dynamic and innovative future food company that is shaking up the fresh produce industry with its cutting-edge vertical farming technology and downstream processing
- Dale Schilling, CEO and Founder of Hillridge Technology (dialing in remotely). A tech startup company helping farmers in Australia, Vietnam and beyond better understand and protect against extreme climate risks. Their technology connects farmers to insurance companies, to provide cover that is tailored for their farm.
