The WA Manual Therapy Conference was created to foster knowledge and skill sharing amongst a range of health practitioners in the manual therapy field.
The conference will showcase a number of presenters who are specialists in their field and who will share not only their knowledge and experience, but also an insight in the practical application of their area of expertise.
Participants can expect a full day of highly valuable and clinically relevant content with a range of practical workshops throughout.

MEET THE PRESENTERS WA MANUAL THERAPY CONFERENCE 2022
Toby Hall is a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist (Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists), graduating in the UK in 1985, followed by an MSc in 1996 and PhD in 2010.
He holds the position of Adjunct Associate Professor at Curtin University.
Toby has presented at many conferences, published more than 20 book chapters and published more than 120 peer-reviewed articles relating to manual therapy: cervicogenic headache, neural tissue disorders and other topics.
He has co-authored 3 books “Mobilisation with Movement, The Art and the Science” & The Mulligan Concept of Manual Therapy: Textbook of Techniques” in 1st & 2nd Edn.He regularly reviews for many journals, is on the international advisory panel of the Journal Musculoskeletal Science & Practice, and is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Manual and Manipulative Therapy.
Toby is a director of Manual Concepts, for which he teaches a range of manual therapy courses around the world.
Peter is a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist (as awarded by the Australian College of Physiotherapists in 2005) and Professor of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Curtin University.
Internationally recognised as a leading clinician, researcher and educator in Physiotherapy, he has published more than 245 research papers, been keynote speaker at 100 national and international conferences and taught in 22 countries on the diagnosis and management of persistent pain disorders.
Shaun Brewster is a Musculoskeletal Therapist, Exercise Physiologist and educator.
Shaun is the Founder and Director of Advanced Clinical Education and has been a senior educator, Head of School, program manager, lecturer, etc at a number of Tertiary institutions in Victoria.
With over 20 years of private clinical practice experience, and almost that many years in training health practitioners.
Shaun is also the President of a national industry association, sits on several education and health profession committees, and is a passionate advocate for manual therapy and quality clinical education.

Dr Merv Travers PhD is a physiotherapist and strength & conditioning coach based in Perth, Australia.
His clinical background includes working in professional rugby, and he provides clinical consultation for athletes with complex and longstanding musculoskeletal conditions all over the world.
He is a Senior Research Scholar working in pain and exercise rehabilitation at The University of Notre Dame Australia.
Merv’s teaching areas include anatomy, pain neuroscience and exercise rehabilitation.
He teaches into Physiotherapy Masters programmes in both Australia and Europe, and he regularly presents nationally and internationally.
He is the founder and director of Optimise rehab (www.optimiserehab.com), a provider of high-quality evidence-based education and mentoring services for exercise and rehabilitation professionals.
Dr Sandra Mejak is a Sport and Exercise Medicine Physician, specializing in the field since 2005. Her mission is to deliver elite care for all her patients.
She believes that health is the key to a fulfilled life, and that exercise is a key pillar of health. She aims to empower everyone she treats to achieve their desired performance, fitness and health, now and into the future.

Current sports include cross-country skiing, running and yoga.
