Dear RNA Enthusists,

Please save the date for our next WA RNA Salon Seminar event on Thursday 27th Aug, 12-2pm at Curtin University (TL Robertson Library, Building 105, level 7, The Lantern room), followed by networking from 1-2pm. (Parking guide and live parking availability).

We are delighted to have TWO PhD students, Saskia Saville (Curtin) and Bac Dao (UWA), presenting their exciting RNA research. Saskia is supervised by Dr Rodrigo Carlessi, and will be presenting her work on RNA-based CRISPR-Cas13d therapeutic strategies for hepatocellular carcinoma. While Bac is based at the School of Computer Sciences and has been developing artificial intelligence approaches to predict RNA modifications from Oxford Nanopore direct RNA sequencing data.

We have a delicious spread organised for the event so please register for a free ticket to help with catering (kindly sponsored by Twist Biosciences, Oxford Nanopore Technology (ONT), the RNA Society and Lexogen).
