WA Secondary Schools Bush Foods Competition 2026 - School Registration - Resource Package & Teacher Masterclass

This Package is for teachers who wish to register their school for the WA Secondary Schools Bush Foods Competition and for those attending the Teachers Masterclass on Saturday 7th March 2026.

Registration Fees

• $350.00 - Incudes school registration and attendance for one teacher at the full-day workshop.

• $200.00 for additional teachers from the same school.

Once registered you will receive a welcome email with instructions on how to access the resource package. You will also be sent a password to access the resources.

This is a statewide celebration of WA’s unique bushfoods, cultural stories, and student creativity. Schools across Western Australia are invited to take part in an inspiring learning journey that connects students with Country, community, and contemporary food education. Through research, design, storytelling, and handson cooking, students create dishes that honour ancient knowledge while imagining new food futures.  

This is more than a culinary challenge — it is a meaningful, culturally grounded learning journey that brings curriculum to life. The School Package ensures your teachers feel supported and your students feel inspired as they explore the stories, landscapes, and flavours of Western Australia. 

This School Package provides everything your school will need to participate confidently and successfully in the 2026 competition. 

What the School Package Fee Covers 

• Full access to teacher and student resource materials 

• Industry led professional learning workshop 

• Coordination and delivery of regional competition heats 

• Judging, venues, logistics, and event support 

• Certificates and competition materials 

• Administration via Humanitix (where 100% of booking fee profits support charity)  

• School team entrance into State Competition work with Mentors, industry professional and regional bushfood specialists  

Comprehensive Teacher Resource Package 
Schools receive a full suite of resources to support teaching and learning, including:  

• Curriculum aligned activities and lesson guides 

• Bushfood research materials and cultural context 

• Student planning templates and team preparation tools 

• Assessment ready project frameworks 

 These resources help teachers integrate bushfoods and cultural storytelling without adding workload.

Your school package includes a full day, hands-on workshop at Bentley TAFE with leading chefs Tanya Healy and Dan Lyndon, offering:
