Brian Goorjian: Coach the Coaches and Players Skills Sessions

West Adelaide Basketball Club are proud to be hosting former Boomers and current Sydney Kings Head Coach Brian Goorjian, as he delivers 2 Junior on court coaching experiences plus a Coach the Coach and Q & A session at Port Adelaide between the 16th and 17th of April. 

Coach 'Goorj' has written himself into history, as the first National Team Head Coach to win an Olympic medal for Australia at the Tokyo 2020/1 Olympic Games.

Goorjian is the most successful Australian basketball coach in history.

During his Hall of Fame career he has -

Won more NBL games than anyone in history, at a phenomenal 70% winning percentage. 

Won the NBL Coach of the Year Award a record six times

Won six NBL Championships

Led the Australian Boomers as Head Coach at the 2004 Athens, 2008 Beijing and 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games

Led the Boomers to their first ever Olympic medal by winning Bronze at the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games

Led teams for 13 years in the CBA league, China, and acted as consultant to the New York Knicks at the 2022 and 2023 NBA Summer League. 

Brian Goorjian now comes to West Adelaide Basketball to conduct an on court junior basketball clinic and a 'coach the coaches' session on April 16th & 17th.
