Pete Grandison (Shanghai Twang studios) and Scott Wise (Wise Luthiers) will explore the nuances and variations in the sound of acoustic guitars and related instruments and how this translates into recording.

Archtops, dreadnoughts, the tiple, parlour guitars, nashville and open tuning, string types and gauges, varieties and placement of microphones and pickups

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the event and be seated before the advertised start time. We recommend festival-goers attend this session from start to finish. Instruments not necessary, but welcome.
