Grace will introduce the audience to Indian Ocean, African, and Carribean rhythms such as sega, seggae, mutya, afrobeat, soukouss and reggae. Grace will also discuss and demonstrate her approach to singing lead vocals while playing bass, especially difficult melodic and rhythmic lines which pose a challenge to any instrumentalist looking to multitask in a live setting.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their instrument (bass & guitar both acceptable), though observers are most welcome.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the event and be seated before the advertised start time. We recommend festival-goers attend this session from start to finish. Bring your instrument (not essential).
